AVON DASSETT COMMUNITY WEBSITE and SOCIAL MEDIA
After many years of running the Avon Dassett Community Website https://www.avondassett.com/ and associated social media accounts on behalf of the village, Sarah Richardson is stepping down from the role.
Since 2008, Sarah has given her time freely to maintain the website and social media to promote the village and village events and to provide information to both locals and visitors.
The website, and associated social media accounts, are hosted and maintained by Stratford District Council, at a cost of approximately £300 per annum. Sarah has organised funding with grants of up to 50% of the cost from the Fete Committee and Parish Council. However, as she is stepping down, Sarah has not applied for grants this year; this responsibility would fall to whoever is prepared to take on the role. Sarah estimates the time commitment to be between 2 to 3 hours per week.

If no-one comes forward by the middle of December Sarah will give notice to Stratford District Council to close the site.
The Parish Council has its own website and this will continue to be maintained. Although the community website is not the responsibility of the Parish Council, we accept our role in seeking volunteers to ensure that it continues to serve the community.
