Resignation of Trevor Gill and Councillor Vacancies

Trevor Gill, who has been a councillor for over 14 years, has taken the decision to step back from his role as a Parish Councillor for Avon Dassett.

The Parish Council would like to thank Trevor for his dedication and commitment during his time as a councillor. Trevor has served as both Chair and Vice Chair and has used his expertise to strengthen the Council’s financial position along with leading many projects and initiatives.

Trevor’s most recent contribution was to lead the project to replace and renew the street lights resulting in improved energy efficiency and lower costs for the community. This legacy will yield benefits for many years to come.

Trevor’s resignation leaves two vacancies for Parish Councillors.  The need to fill these is critical as the remaining three councillors are the minimum needed for the Parish Council to be quorate and to function.

If you are interested in playing a vital role in the Avon Dassett community and in ensuring the Parish Council can remain effective, please consider putting yourself forward.
